Overview

Part of FOHI’s commitment to making the Audubon Camp at Hog Island a sustainable venture is to provide volunteers to help with opening and closing the camp and during program sessions. Our volunteer team is growing. Many are finding Hog Island to be their top summer desitination, spending time with returning friends and making new ones.

General Information

When you become a volunteer for the Friends of Hog Island, you are welcomed into a strong community of people that hold Hog Island close to their heart. Volunteers help with opening and closing weeks, as well as turning over rooms between camps, and cooking, cleaning, and serving meals during camp.

Information for 2026

FOHI volunteer registration for the 2026 season will open on November 18th, 2025, one day after Audubon rolls out their camper registration. We hope to see you at the opening or closing work weeks or during one of the Audubon camp weeks. FOHI volunteers keep the camp humming and are an integral part of its continuing success.
