Friend of Hog Island is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our sole source of revenue is through donations from individuals and businesses. FOHI’s Tax Form 990 is available upon request from info@fohi.org.

From the start, the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen, Maine has set a standard of excellence with its superb staff and an environment that casts a magic spell over those who are fortunate enough to share the opportunity it offers. But the vagaries of the weather and the economy leave the camp always needing help.

Friends of Hog Island provides at least $50,000 annually to support programming on Hog Island and an average of 7,200 hours a year of dedicated, passionate volunteers to help with camp sessions and with opening and closing weeks. It also provides scholarships, a volunteer coordinator to manage the volunteers, in-kind contributions to the camp, e.g., solar panels, kitchen refit, building repairs, appliances and so much more. We are committed to the continued success of the camp.

We appreciate donations big and small! It’s easiest for both us and you to make small gifts online using our simple Donate Now button to the right. There is a 1.99% + 0.49 USD per donation fee per donation, so gifts over $250 would be best to send in as a check. 

You can also use Paypal Giving Fund to submit an online gift. This option has no fees, but you do need to have a Paypal account set up in your name.
